'Radical right-wing' pre-emptive attack.
Kerry should start out in the debate by criticizing Bush's record and connecting it with Bush's broader, radical right wing philosophy that is out of touch with mainstream America. Pre-empt the liberal name-calling of which Bush will inevitably partake.

1. Kerry needs to remind America about bush's record on domestic issues.
And then remind America about how all of these failures have the fault of others. And it needs to be done at the start of the debate.

The failing economy - 9/11 and Clinton
Iraq - bad intelligence
Education - Congress gave us a green light on Every Child Left Behind

Kerry should ask bush how a man of responsibility (a platform he ran on in 2000) can pass all of these failures onto other people?

bush would never recover from that assualt.

2. mistakes
i think kerry needs to close this debate performance by pointing out that it takes a big man to admit to mistakes, and only little ones hide from their failures...

i think that meme would resonate big time.

3. here's another one
for Kerry to use... "Whatever happened to "The Buck Stops Here"?"

It really bothers me when a President does not take ultimate responsibility... It's his administration, his intelligence services, his cabinet... It's his primary responsibility as CIC and President to ensure that the intelligence he gets is accurate. Even if the intelligence were not accurate, he should still be held responsible for the failings of his own people.

5. Radical is right
"The radical policies of this administration have led to record deficits, wasted lives, situations like Abu Gharib, unlawfully detained American citizens, and lost jobs."
