My co-workers are now trying to get me to vote Nader (I'm ultra-liberal) |
|
or vote other party (I'm actually a Peace and Freedom Party member, so Leonard Peltier is my party's candidate - though I'm 100% Kerry this time around).
Anyone else noticing this? A new strong push to get us to vote 3rd party by Republican die hards?
I think whenever they know they're in trouble, they start to push it. Interesting...

I just come back with the facts and places to back them up! I put to bed, months ago the ones that thought they could change my mind.

4. Pure, unadulterated desperation |
|
Because they know that 80-85% of the Naderites from 2000 are going Kerry in 2004, they want to see how far back they can push the number.

6. :) Yup. That usually does the trick... |
|
Though they're usually die-hard partisans. It's funny having a partisan trying to convince a non-partisan to vote for an "independent" candidate.

8. I'd vote for Nader . . . for state rep. |
|
If I didn't know anything else about him, I would agree that he has some decent ideas, but he is not presidential material, and certainly is not an appropriate president for the current global situation.
Also, he is a cranky, selfish, manipulative hypocritical old fuck when it comes to politics in general and he just plain doesn't make a good politician.
He should stick to advocacy.

9. Third Party voters are...... |
|
I am of the opinion that folks who vote for Nader or other third party candidates in this election are actually Bush supporters who will not or can not accept responsibility for their decision.

10. Yes. I think progressives this time will be ditching Nader |
|
and other 3rd parties.
Most of the Nader vote will, in my opinion, be people who would NEVER vote for one of the major parties and Republicans who cannot bring themselves to vote for George Jr.
So the polls that show things like
Kerry 45 Bush 44
AND
Kerry 43 Bush 44 Nader 3
Aren't really representative of the truth. They should also be asking
Kerry Bush Other
and I bet the Other would be the same % as Nader gets in a 3 man race.

11. Tell your colleagues that voting isn't therapy.... |
|
It doesn't always feel good to do the right thing.
Since voting Nader or third party will not result in electing a president, clearly the choice comes down to * or Kerry.
Normally, voting third-party is fine, but there's too much at stake in this election.

12. It's a freeper operation |
|
They are also putting up posters at college campuses that illustrate that there "Is no difference" between the two candidates trying to get "liberals" to either stay home, or vote third party.
A friend of mine has proof of this and they have been at it about two weeks.

You can always smell these conspiracies, especially when there's such a change in the day to day operations. One day it's "Bush is better than Kerry" and then all of a sudden, it's "well you should vote for Nader".
