About the Undecideds
I've just had an epiphany that helps me feel a little better about Undecided voters. Someone wrote here that the Undecideds aren't necessary truly struggling about which candidate to vote for - they just know that they don't have to make up their minds until Election day and so they won't.

That is hard for a lot of us to comprehend, but face it. We have probably as a group never been undecided at all about this. From the moment * stole office my vote has been cast for his opponent in the 2004 election. Yours too, most likely. If not, then it happened over time.

These people don't really care passionately either way. They aren't burdened by the passion that we are, because they just don't pay enough attention to know any better. So they just don't have any need to try to flesh out who they are gonna vote for yet. They're not refusing to commit because Kerry hasn't won them over, they're just refusing to commit because for them it isn't time to yet. The lever (or touch screen) isn't in front of them.

But when the time does come, I think they are really going to break for Kerry, just because if they are TRULY undecided and truly dispassionate, they're going to vote based on who looks more Presidential, and Kerry has that in spades. They aren't going to vote over 30 year old false Vietnam smears, or the President's AWOL record. They just don't care that deeply.

So for some reason that makes me feel less annoyed by undecideds.

1. Sorry, you lost me
I cannot understand the undecideds.
(in fact, I understand the freeps better; they just need medical help)

How can you live in this country and remain undecided????

2. Ahh well, we're just reversed...
Freeps are either too stupid to live or just pure evil and should be locked up in my opinion. I just don't get how so much hateful ignorance fits into human skin without imploding.

Undecideds, well they're just idiots without malice, I think.

3. Don't get me wrong about the freeps
No sympathy there.
But they may have some extenuating circumstances: genes, upbringing etc.

But how can you be an UNDECIDED???
