Here are some authors to avoid:
'In the other camp, bestselling science fiction writer Orson Scott Card said he was "a Democrat voting for Bush," citing the need for a strong and committed leader in the war on terror.

Thriller writer Robert Ferrigno also asked to be marked on the Bush side of the ledger -- "A lonely side for this survey, I'm certain," he commented.

"I'll be voting for Bush because his approach to stopping the people who want to kill my children is the right one, i.e. kill them first," Ferrigno said.'

1. Easy
I never really liked Card.

He wrote one decent short story (Ender's game) which he later turned into a novel with 5 sequels.

3. Yup Catd was a One Trick Pony...
Ender's game was all he had. His political stance just proves he went idiot early. Dumbfuck.

4. I disagree. I think he is a great writer.
Ender's Game. Treason. Hart's Hope. I even like his "Mormon" stuff. He's just wrong when it comes to his politics. :(

5. I like Card's books as well
and I will not stop reading them because of his political affiliation.

I read them for pleasure, not out of any political motivation.

the 3rd book in the Homecoming series. Like OSC political views, it's crap.

David Brin however writes great SF and is not an idiot.
