Could Bush's "lump" have something to do with seizure control
or control of chronic pain or tremors?

The electrode from the implant connects to the vagus nerve. Slowly paced electric shocks prevent seizures.

An external control determines when to send pain-relieving pulses to the spinal cord.

1. Drug therapy is my guess-but if wireless cueing system- Is this the brand?

The RC-216 Receive-A-Cue system is a professional quality, digitally synthesized wireless cueing system operating in the interference-free 216-217 MHz band. The IR-230 induction receiver and NTC-102 neck-loop eliminates the need for visible wires going directly to the ear. With the adjustable volume control and low residual noise, this discrete earpiece is loud enough for even the most demanding environments. The dual function M-216 transmitter can be used with a lapel microphone for live cueing, or the AUX input and whip antenna can be used to send cues from a line level audio input source. Also, the AUX input on the transmitter allows for prerecorded material to be played back from another sound source such as an MP-3 player, dat recorder, or even a feed from a mixing board. When using the mic input and the AUX input simultaniously, the AUX input will automatically lower it's level to prioritize the signal from the mic input.

The complete RC-216 system includes:

M-216 wireless microphone transmitter
CM-183 omni-directional lapel microphone
PR-216 personal receiver
NTC-102 neck-loop transductor
SM-N earphone assembly
IR-230 inductor receiver
Auxiliary audio input cable
C-216 carrying case
RC-216 Option 1: Separate microphone muting switch only mutes voice from the M-216 transmitter microphone, allowing auxiliary input program to remain on.

AP-230

Auto-Prompter Kit

For use with miniature tape recorders, dat recorders, or MP-3 players for discrete cueing applications. Allows the user to listen to prerecorded cues when giving speeches or presentations. May also be used with all COMTEK personal receivers.

The complete system includes:

IR-230 universal-fit ear canal inductor receiver
NTC-102 neck-loop transductor with two 32" down-lead cords (one 1/8" and one 3/32" plug)
P-11 storage pouch.

13. I believe the VNS is implanted in the Chest
I know several people who have epilepsy who have had this implant. It can be a very effective treatment to control seizures which are difficult to control with medication. I would seriously doubt this bulge is VNS device.

even if the catheter insertion into the spinal canal is farther up.

That is most likely a descrambler/amplifier. The former is so nobody else can hear the wit and wisdom of Karen Huge being transmitted from backstage, and the latter is to get a weak signal up to the bit in his ear canal.

The funniest part is that he always seems to need to be stage managed:

22. This dialog about Bush being wired is almost macabre.
If true, just imagine what that really means. We've literally got a living puppet dressed up in a President suit. That's way beyond funny.
That is blood chilling. Please America, let's try to extricate ourselves from what is beginning to a political "House of Horrors".

Where's his damn medical report? If he's healthy, why not show is hard evidence?

9. I know the guy who developed this...
and you know what, I'll ask him sometime.

Cause now that I think of it...the bruises, the "pretzel incident" the progressive dementia and confabulation...could all be due to a progressive seizure disorder.

14. I've had electrical stimulation for pain during physical therapy...
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 01:32 PM by Gloria
It's like waves passing through the part of the body where the electrodes are placed. They can set the rate/intensity of the stimulation. It was used around my lower back to help with the sciatic nerve...because I have a damaged nerve, weakened and atrophied leg that spasms and can be painful all the way down to the foot (I had foot drop before a laminectomy).

At first, it seemed to help and I considered buying a small, portable unit but didn't do it when the effectiveness faded. There are a few units on the market that are quite small and do use tossable electrode stickies that you have to keep buying.

17. Please let us know what he says
What puzzles me is why he was wearing this device or whatever it is when he was clearing brush on his "ranch". Does anyone have any recent shots of Bush from the back where it is clearly missing?

Whatever the explanation, they are definitely hiding something from the American public.

18. Maybe some engineer in the audience will override the signal with a max-
volume loop tape of 'The Maquerena'! Since Stupid can't hold two thoughts in his tiny brain at the same time, he'd have to break out dancing in front of 60 million voters.

19. What about his heart? brachycardia--here is info...!
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 01:47 PM by Gloria

Brachycardia

Brachycardia is a condition in which the heart beats at a rate that is below normal, below 65 beats per minute. Brachycardia affects older patients and can be caused and linked by certain prescribed medications. Medications that lower heart rate might cause a form of brachycardia called sinus brachycardia.

Diagnosis – Doctors observing patients with brachycardia usually try to use two tests to be concise in their decisions. The first test a doctor might perform would be an ECG or an electrocardiogram. This ECG would tell the doctor if there were any abnormalities in the heart. The second test is the blood gas work-up. The blood gas work-up, would tell medical professionals if certain blood gasses were causing the supposed brachycardia.

Treatment – Treatment for brachycardia or sinus brachycardia is quite simple. Doctors might start a regiment of heart rate increasing drugs. These drugs would increase the SA node signals and cause the heart to beat faster. Doctors could also prescribe an artificial pacemaker, or stop/change the regiment of drugs the patient is already taking.

Signs and Symptoms –

Fatigue

Decreased exercise
Irritability

Hypertension

Slower than normal heart and respiration rates

24. That's bradycardia
and if he'd needed a pacemaker, it would be completely internal, with a battery pack about 4 inches across in his chest wall.

An external monitor is about twice the size of the bulge, and is usually carried with a shoulder strap like a handbag.

This thing is a transmitter, possibly in combination with a descrambler.
