Poll question: If Bush continues to sink in the polls, will the elections be suspended? |
|
What I mean is "Will Rove and Bush concoct a 'terrorist' attack/threat to suspend the November elections?"
These guys only care about staying in power, so I don't put it past these crooks to screw our democracy worse than they did in 2000.

1. I don't put it past them morally or intellectually |
|
But I think they've made too many enemies in high places to be able to pull this off anymore.

3. They are pulling all stops to keep those numbers within the margins |

of error. I suspect there will be some BBV action. Keep in mind that in Florida, most of the Republican counties have scan-tron style ballots so they have a paper trail.
Sheesh. I'm preaching to the choir.

5. I'm increasingly concerned about the Sen. Mark Dayton story. |
|
Sen. Dayton Temporarily Closing OfficeExcerpt: A Democratic senator said Tuesday he is closing his Washington office because of a top-secret intelligence report that made him fear for his staff's safety.
Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minn., said his office in the Russell Senate Office Building across the street from the Capitol will be closed while Congress is in recess through Election Day, with his staff working out of his Minnesota office and in Senate space off Capitol Hill.
``I take this step out of extreme, but necessary, precaution to protect the lives and safety of my Senate staff and my Minnesota constituents, who might otherwise be visiting my Senate office in the next three weeks,'' he said.
Dayton said he could not give details of the intelligence report, which he said Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., presented to senators at a briefing two weeks ago.
<snip>
Nonetheless, Dayton said he would advise people from his home state to avoid Capitol Hill until after the Nov. 2 election.
``I would not bring my two sons to the Capitol between now and the election,'' he added.

7. I think its something... |
|
...we might have to deal with.I would love to say that Bush would know when to step aside but I don't think he does.As to if they could pull it off and get away with it I am not sure.I know if something like this happened alot of people would call him on it, Bush has made a good many people suspicious because of the 2000 election. In spite of that I wouldn't put it past him.
