Response to my demand about Sinclair |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 02:27 PM by JuniorPlankton
It's not quite what I wanted, but it confirms our core belief that the advertisers hate controversy. ------------------------------------------------------- Dear ***,
We appreciate the time you took to share your concern with us.
Please be assured that Red Bull will not be running any commercials or sponsoring the Sinclair Group's presentation of the John Kerry program.
In addition, Red Bull would not run commercials or sponsor programming that would seek to denigrate our President, Ralph Nader or any other candidate for our national office.
Thank you again for contacting us.
With kind regards,
Brandy Vieths Red Bull North America

1. Too bad they don't get it. |
|
The program is to be run commercial free. That's not the issue. Oh well. I only tried Red Bull once. I won't miss it.

2. No commercials running during "documentary" |
|
Write them back and say "try again". They need to pull ALL advertising from Sinclair, anything short of that is supporting corporate influence on a presidential campaign. Sinclair is running the "documentary" ad free, a gift from Sinclair to George Bush. That's half the point.

5. Yes, I heard that from a couple of advertisers as well and I told them |
|
that nobody was running advertisements for that show, but by dint of them having any type of association for the other 23 hours a day with an unethical broadcast company, they opened themselves to a charge of partisanship if they support them by association.
