I just got a call back from Pepsi thanking me for my comments, the man was saying that their ad buys are in local markets, he was polite but non-committal. I politely explained that:

-The local markets are owned and operated by Sinclair nationally; Sinclair was forcing local stations to pre-empt regular progamming to show slander produced by Bush supporters.

- This film has already been discredited by media watch groups.

- I would be just as unhappy if a company that contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats planned to show Faranheit 9-11 on the public airwaves in an effort to try to influence the elections.

- The Anti-Defamation League's national director called on a Sinclair executive to repudiate comments they made comparing democrats to Holocaust deniers, and that I didn't feel that this was someone the Pepsi brand should be associated with in any way.

He thanked me for outlining that for him in a nice way and said that he would pass that information along to the local advertisers.

Keep it up, call Pepsi at (800) 433-2652!!!!!!!!!

1. YES, AND TELL THEM YOU HAVE A FULL LIST OF THIER PRODUCTS....
Check this thread for full pepsi product list.

Tell them the list is going on your fridge.

Tell them it will be a lifetime ban for you and your family if thier advertising is seen on these 62 affiliates between now and the time this partisan mockumentary airs.

Tell them you're plugged into an internet network that includes hundreds of thoudands, perhaps millions and these networks are being monitored.

Tell them to have a nice day!

4. I just called and talked with a very nice and polite woman at Pepsi
She told me that Pepsi is well aware of this issue and that they are concerned! She thanked me for calling and said that Pepsi is gathering messages from their consumers and monitoring this issue carefully.

She was non-committal of course, but I detected real sympathy in her voice. I would say that the person I spoke with was personally disturbed by what Sinclair is doing, as well as communicating Pepsi's official stance.
