Tonight's Opening statement: The Best Possible Opening Line

Ladies and Gentleman, The Federal goverement is broke. And George Bush and the two GOP-controlled houses of Congress broke it.

Tonight you will hear many statements from the president challenging my record and saying what can't or should not be done. He is going to try in every answer to scare you with reasoning and logic that is as faulty as the evidencce he had prior to taking our country to war. Just watch how he answers every question by attacking me. He's going to call me a Tax and Spend Liberal from Massachusetts... But this is a man who has never vetoed a single spending bill and has single handedly created more red ink than any all the last four democratic presidents combined.

This President lacks the credibility and apparently the competance to fix these problems the American Middle class faces.

Why can't Kerry use one of Deans best lines. "Republicans can't balance a budget they haven't done it in 34 years"
