Help! Holy crap! How do I find out where I'm registered to vote...
I know this sounds like a ridiculous question but I registered a few years ago (before Clinton) and moved a billion times since then, but never left the state of NJ. Now I want to make sure I can vote for this election. I never paid attention to politics before so I really didn't care where I was registered. It just dawned on me I don't remember what friggen town/county I registered in... PLEASE GOD tell me it's not too late to do this.....

Does anyone know where I can check to see where I'm registered?

People need to learn google a little better, me thinks.

http://www.lwvnj.org/guide/faq.html

"Where do I vote?

The location of the voter's polling place is printed on the sample ballot mailed to each voter in the last week before each election."

3. Hmmm...
Is the last time you registered to vote back in the day for Bill Clinton?

If so I dont think you are registered for this election.

In Texas I think its only good for like a year or two.

Additionally here you have to register atleast 31 days prior to the election.

The laws where you live might be different though.

4. You can update any time
At least in Oregon you can. Call your local county office.

6. If you live in FLA or Ohio, go to where you think you don't belong.

7. Here's a link...
to the New Jersey voter registration site.

Send me a pm with your name and the first three digits of your social security number. If you had utilities registered in your name, I can do an address history. An address history can at least give you some idea of where you might have registered. Another avenue to check. Did you pick a party affiliation? If you picked a party affiliation, call your local party to see if they have you in their database.

8. THANK you
I did google this stuff but didn't come up with an answer to my ridiculous question... I'm so embarrassed that I did this. Jesus.

I do know my address history- I was wondering if there was somewhere I can look up where I registered last. I mean, I know exactly which of three NJ counties I've lived in; but moved between them so many times I just don't want to show up at the damn poll not being able to friggen vote. So I was hoping there would be somewhere I can look up my info.

I'll contact my local Democratic party I guess, that's what I registered as... thanks for the responses.

9. Call the County Recorders Office
Google <your state, your county> Recorders Office. I called mine on the phone and verified my registration and my eligibility to vote in the November election. It took 45 seconds to get peace of mind.

10. Don't worry about it. I'm glad you asked so you can get it figured out.
That is what is important.
