I have to think at some level that we are all working towards a K/E victory for even the republicans, who at the very least, just don't get it yet that K/E is in their best interests....

So i would like to dedicate Kerry's performance tonight, and his victory in November to all the people who don't vote, all the people who can't vote, and all the people, because of lack of vision, low mental acuity, and inability to decipher lies will mistakenly vote for shrub....

bless their hearts, they know not the fruits of the path they have chosen....

I have also been thinking about how good our guys would be for everyone in the country if only given a chance. Despite the RW smear campaigns against the Clintons, the majority of the American people still supported them and saw through the sheer politics involved in the impeachment proceedings. I am hoping that Americans will see through the RW fear and smear attacks against Kerry too and realize that they actually have more to fear from 4 more years than by voting for Kerry.

All kidding aside, I appreciate this view. For all the one issue folk who vote against their best interest but for that one issue, we need to win. For those out of a job but still voting for the Widowmaker, we need to win. For those who haven't had a catastrophic need for health care yet, or better scientific research, or who's children haven't gone to war yet, we need to win.

I don't want to play "I told you so" later.

But for the next 4 years the Republicans will be doing everything in their power to bring down Kerry/Edwards, just like they did with Clinton.

The Republican controlled Congress will block any and everything that
gets sent to it, and the religious fanatics will be doing it too.

As for myself, I'm doing this for my grandchildren, not theirs. I'm doing this for my country, and I really don't give a rat's ass what they think. And I'm doing this for me, any thought about doing anything for the other side, is right up there with sticking needles in my eyes.

We've got a great chance to take over the Senate too which would be a vast improvement for the Kerry admin. than what the Clinton's had to deal with. I have hope that we can turn thing around for all of us, even if we have to do it with the repugs kicking and screaming!
