Met an Illinois resident who is GLADLY voting for Alan Keyes
I was waiting to pay for my breakfast in the building cafeteria this morning when a really obnoxious Catherine Hanaway commercial came on. The cafeteria owner didn't know who the commerical was about and who she was. I told him she was the speaker of the Missouri House and then he remembered her name.

This woman behind me said she lived in Illinois and didn't have to bother with Catherine Hanaway. I then said, "you're lucky because you get to vote for Barack Obama." She then became incredulous and said, "No way, I'm voting for Alan Keyes!" I stood there in a state of disbelief and told her he was a nutjob, an assessment that the cafeteria owner agreed with. She then said, "you'd probably say I'm a right-wing wacko too." She then said that Barack Obama was a radical!

PLEASE. Obama is many things, a wild eyed left wing radical is not one of them!

1. If it weren't so tragic, it would be hilarious.
That woman needs some therapy in a bad way...

2. It's interesting how right-wing wackos are always surprised
that people think they are right-wing wackos. I guess they don't get out much.

3. Where do these nuts come from?
And, in my humble opinion, they are getting more and more dangerous.

is the whitest black man she can vote for.

Right-wingers are so convinced that they hold the keys to the kingdom that they cannot fathom people thinking differently from them.

Yesterday I got into a discussion with one of the directors at work. He is a hardcore freeper and he knows I am far from that. He asked me why do I live in the US if I am so unhappy with the economic system and the government. To him I replied, "were the people who hated Clinton for the eight years of his administration any less patriotic or less welcomed in the country?" Since he cannot stand Clinton he had to say that they were welcomed and patriotic . I then said well why is it that when people disagree with THIS president we are labeled un American? I also said that I saw government's role as being to serve people and not corporations. He had no real answers but continued to espouse the wisdom of the free market. He even defended gentrification and the rights of landlords to increase rent on people when the neighborhoods improve! When I asked him what are people who cannot afford the new rent supposed to do, his response was "they move to areas they can afford." This is true but in many places (Manhattan) rent is outside the realm for average people.

If only these people would read the bible they claim to love so much. I am Jewish and I know that Jesus did not covort with the ruling class. Isn't there something in the New Testament about what ever you do to the least of them, you have done to me?

I know there is something like that.

7. But...
...it isn't capitalism when somebody buys the government.

4. Well, his support rating is very very low...

... but that still equates to thousands of supporters.

Of course, Obama is not a radical! He's very charismatic because he blends the right amount of conservatism with the right amount of liberalism to create a strong, healthy democratic man. People love him!

10. Even though Keyes is a nutjob...it is sweet justice when
a Nazi type must either not vote for that race or cast a vote for someone who is a member of a despised group.
