Starting with Brokaw, the Hardball panel denies they "went along"
with the wild-ass "Bush easily bested Kerry" line they all babbled last time. Even Andrea said she thought Kerry won! Talk about revisionist history! Even Scarborough! EVEN BUCHANAN!!!

Do they really expect us to beleive this Horsepucky? Or are they reading the writing on the wall?

1. The polls show the public thought Kerry won, however narrowly.
Follow the money, children. Follow the money.

2. Writing. On the wall.
Conventional Wisdom, within the beltway, seems to be enjoying a small bit of sea change, no?

4. I thought Brokaw was pretty even-handed last week
I think he praised parts of Kerry's performance, and wasn't nearly as gung-ho as matthews, et al. Buchanan, on the other hand ... I have a hard time seeing how he can justify back-tracking, as sure as he was that * wiped the floor with Kerry last Friday.

5. The freepers' "jujitsu" is working so well for them!
Let's play along again tonight, shall we?

"Oooh, I voted in this poll."

"Yeah, I voted ten times in that one."

Then they'll turn their freepscripts on, and heighten the contradictions. How sweet it is!

7. Buchanan denied this? He was flat-out giving it to bush in the last one.
Resoundingly. No if's, and's or but's as he saw it. And he never hesitated for an instant to say so in the most bombastic terms. Now HE'S saying he thought Kerry won it? Amazing.

11. Works for me. Big improvement over continuing the lie, isn't it?
In other words, while lying about lying is reprehensible, it's an improvement over continuing to stick to the first lie.
