Just curious - why doesn't Kerry just break out the actual 'lib' ranking

in the National Journal? * is cherry-picking from one year - Kerry's life time voting record doesn't even put him the top ten liberals.

Why can't Kerry just point that out? It would take five seconds. Afterwards the media would follow up. The National Journal itself has written that * is distorting. Why not get that into the media?
