Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 09:04 PM by Lovecrafty
Seriously. Bush keeps going back to education, which he has cut anyway, saying it is somehow the answer to new jobs...yet there are millions of underpaid and out-of-work people out there NOW!!! Am I missing something here?!

3. Thank you for posting that
I wanted to do that but can't seem to be able to start a new topic. There are Stanford MBA's looking for work. They don't need education, they need a job. Tell that to the techies who are out of work, master's degrees in computer science. Maybe they want to go work in India. I wish Kerry had said that.

4. Yeah, George, it's also people making $50K+ that are losing their
jobs to India and China, not just manfacturing. He wants them to go back to school, study nursing or something and flood a field where there is a shortage to drive down the cost of healthcare.

6. Just go back to school!
A few courses at the community college will turn an out-of-work PhD into a productive worker in no time!
