TALKING POINTS

Kerry

John Kerry delivered his third Presidential performance. He demonstrated the strength and character we need in a Commander in Chief.

Kerry was clear that he’d be a President the middle class can count on. He “gets it.”

Kerry understands the struggle for good jobs, better wages, health care and energy independence. He offered hope, optimism and specifics to fix the economy.

Kerry held Bush accountable for the failures of the last four years. He told America the truth, and offered a plan for a fresh start. He can defend America and fight for the middle class.

Bush

Bush is 0-for-3 in these debates; but the middle class is 0-for-4-years under George Bush. He can’t defend his failed record, so he attacks and distorts. He has no plan for the economy. Bush just doesn’t get it, so he can’t fix it.

Denying that we have problems is ruining his credibility in these debates. He denied we have problems with immigration, No Child Left Behind, equal pay for women and the minimum wage. Bush pretends our problems don’t exist, and he won’t level with the American people.

Bush refuses to admit any mistakes. He hides behind excuse after excuse. Americans can’t afford four more years of economic failure.

John Kerry offered hope and optimism, not failure and fear. He’ll be a fighter for the middle class. George Bush will continue to side with the powerful and the well-connected.
