Kerry didn't hurt himself with the "undecides" but Bush helped himself with his base. Because of this, I have to score it a win for Bush. The bar was set much too high for Kerry. I think Kerry "rested his case" in the last debate.

Bush's base is a handful of wingers. More and more republicans are getting more and more uncomfortable with Bush, while he reverts to tired old appeals to Reagan era conservatives one minute and crazy winguts the next.
