Kerry's Soprano Joke ROCKED! Bush's Jokes BOMBED |
|
big time. Read the transcript. You read Kerry's joke about Soprano's and it got a laughter. NONE of Bush's assinine attempts at humor worked. No mention in transcript of laughter.
Until the end. Where Bush got only two mentions of laughter and Kerry got THREE!

2. Bush field-tested those zingers in front of loyalty-oath signing crowds |

And since the crowds went wild, bush assumed they were good lines. Moran.

5. Totally ... you could tell he practiced the pauses for people to laugh |
|
normally, there are few things more painful than watching a comedian fall flat on his face.
but after four years of pain from this administration, watching his confused reaction when the jokes fell flat was pretty damn amusing

7. Kerry's Theresa joke was classic |
|
a lot of talking heads will blub about it. It was funny and showed his humor and confidence. THK rocks too, the more mention of her the better.

8. So Bush got a few laughs at the end with comments on Laura |
|
Well, Kerry always thinking on his feet, came back with a couple of his own. Yes, I married up, way up!
Kerry's thinking, "I'm not even going let this chimp score humor points over me."

10. It seemed to me that Bush was just dumbstruck |
|
Maybe I imagined it, but didn't Bush look "Duh" when Kerry remarked about their wives...Kerry said they all had "Married Up" *pause*-->bush looking non plussed... Then Kerry went on to make his remarks about his own marriage....

One married an intelligent philanthropist with enormous life experience, a good heart and an amazing amount of charisma- the other married a Stepford entity who was most likely looking for a way out of Midland; doesn't drive very well, wears the draperies ala Scarlett O'Hara - but who reads better than he does.

KERRY: I want you to notice how the president switched away from jobs and started talking about education principally.
Let me come back in one moment to that, but I want to speak for a second, if I can, to what the president said about fiscal responsibility.
Being lectured by the president on fiscal responsibility is a little bit like Tony Soprano talking to me about law and order in this country.

I was pretty embarrassed when Bush's shoulders were rapidly going up and down as he was going "heh heh heh heh heh heh"
And there was DEAD silence.
Ok, he received a chuckle once or twice (so did Kerry). But most of Bush's "heh heh heh heh's" received nothing... nada.... zip... zilch, ZERO. }(
