Drugs from Canada unsafe?
Re: the flu vaccine question, bush answered that we were now working with Canada to produce enough flu vaccine for the US. But in the last debate he told us that he'd vetoed reimportation from Canada because the drugs from north of the border might kill us and he only wanted to keep us safe.

1. I got that!
And the contaminated bunch came from England. I wanted Kerry to pop him on that but he stays pretty focused.

2. That's why 30 million Canadians will be dead by the end of the year....
....but first Bush plans to get all of their flu vaccine supply:wtf:

This seems to be a pattern for Bush, anything we fall behind in America on, we just get it from other countries

9. I could not believe that we were having vaccinations shipped in
from Great Britain and Canada. Why in the hell aren't we making the vaccine HERE, for God's sake?

My husband and I moved back home to Virginia from Pennsylvania last December. There are over 500,000 people on the unemployment rolls in PA who would KILL to go to work in a pharmaceutical plant - being involved in the development, research and production of medicines, working at good-paying jobs with great benefits. Ditto in Southern Virginia, where textile mills are closing left and right.

The fact that we're importing this just absolutely blew me away.

Un-frigging-believable.

TWO FACED, TWO FACED, TWO FACED. We can't get any drugs from Canada, they might be bad for us, but we CAN get flu vaccine from them....

6. Yeah: Unsafe for bloated U.S. pharmaceutical company profits!
Perfectly safe for American consumption -- because the majority of these so-called "Canadian" drugs are made here anyway!

8. YES! I hope everyone caught that! A man in the focus group pointed
that out...he caught it! He was an older man concerned with Medicare, no doubt, and here * is saying he's getting the flu vaccine from Canada! (But the man wasn't ready to commit to Kerry yet, though he was leaning that way. Unbelievable.)

10. I noticed this, and wanted Kerry to rebut
I don't know why he didn't. That would have been really embarassing for Bush. He would have been caught in a flip-flop!!

12. I yelled that same thing at my TV
Oh okay. Canda is safe for vaccinations and not for heart medicine??? :WTF:

Another thing that pissed me off was when * tried to blame the flu vaccine shortages on malpractice lawsuits. :eyes:
