Bush wired again? - New photos from tonight's debate
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 10:52 PM by Mortos
It sure looks like the same contraption. Here are three photos I took of Cspan live footage immediately after the debate. Who wants a picture of the white foamy drool?

I thought it looked exactly like bush was listening to someone or something. He would smile out of no where and just start writing, it was very obvious.

Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 11:06 PM by LiberalFighter
Myth #1: Georges de Paris, who made the suit worn by Mr Bush, said the bulge was accentuated when the president crossed his arms and leaned forward.

Fact: Photos here show dimwit with his arms uncrossed and standing straight up

It could be a hearing aid they don't want you to know about. If you can discount that then look for something more nefarious. I really would like Schroob to be caught with his hand in the cookie jar, but honestly, we don't need a repeat of typewritergate this close to the election.

61. It's both -- it's an Assistive Listening Device
So, you're not crazy, Cleita, and every time I bring this up people's first gut reaction is that I'm making "excuses" for Bush. Hardly. If he's disabled, we should know.

I saw two different mothers, in two completely different contexts, note that Bush's symptoms reminded them of their children's, who had hearing problems. And last March Stan Crock speculated in Business Weekly that Bush might have this disorder. I looked it up myself and it seems to me that Bush does have a "hearing" problem called (Central) Auditory Processing Disorder. The symptoms are similar to ADD and it's more of a learning disability than "deafness" as we think of it.

CAPD sufferers can't process auditory input in certain situations. They might be fine one on one, or in a controlled situation, but put them in a classroom...or a press conference...or a debate...and they're unable to function. They're unable to distinguish what they should be focusing on in a place where there are extraneous sounds.
They have a hard time distinguishing similar-sounding words, too.

It basically explains many of Bush's problems. Why he had scholastic difficulties throughout his life, why he mispronounces words, why he avoids press conferences, etc.

And one of the devices to help people with CAPD is called an Assistive Listening Device (ADL) and looks just like the prompting devices. A receiver, invisible earpiece, etc. The ADL is able to mask distracting background noises and has directional mics to funnel to the listener what he needs to be paying attention to.

Who's to say it's not multifunctional, anyway? Some of the prompting devices have features that mask background noise, too...so he may be getting more than one kind of help.

Anyone who thinks this EXCUSES Bush only needs to remember that footage of Bush sitting in that classroom, stupefied, when Card whispered to him that the second plane hit the WTC towers. Even if the explanation is CAPD, and in the "chaotic" (for him) atmosphere of a classroom Bush was unable to process auditory input --- well, that's pretty damn disfunctional to accept in a President.

CAPD (or APD) was first described in 1976, so Bush wouldn't have been diagnosed with this growing up. But still, someone obviously knows Bush is disabled and NEEDS this device. And the media HAVE to know it's there. Just like they had to have known of Reagan's dementia.

There's a thread on this with links posted at Dems.com

67. I've got CAPD
But he shouldn't need a device in that setting. There's audio monitors in the catwalk above his head giving him the feed from the moderator ( and possibly Kerry). It should be plenty loud.

Proof shmoof. There's undeniable proof they are lying through they're teeth. They are telling us NOTHING IS THERE and that's it's a conspiracy theory and a figment of our imagination.

30. Okay, I have been chastised a couple of times about this.
My father's hearing aid, which is what I am going by, had a little box it was connected to and yes it was thirty years ago. That's all! Could it be with all the electronic equipment around there that they need something a little more packagey? Perhaps an audio expert can settle this. Honestly, I don't want to give Boosh a pass, but I also don't like to speculate on something we haven't eliminated all the other possibilities on.

46. I have 68 decible loss in one ear and 72 db in the other
I have to use a bone conduction type hearing-aid requiring a body aid. <1.5" x 2.75" box> A cord is connected from the body aid to the bone conductor. The bone conductor is held in place with a head band behind the ear.

I have not seen another person with the type of hearing-aid in over 30 years. In addition, the hearing-aid is difficult to obtain because the manufacturers do not consider it to be a money maker.

When I have it in phone mode I hear the electronic sounds of a car and fork trucks. I also hear flourescent lights. When I place the device near a computer or the monitor I hear an unusual sound.

55. It may be a hearing aid but he needs to be "fed" the questions because
even with the "aid" he can't hear the moderator or people asking quetions at press conferences because of "background noise." Those lights and camera equipment they have for these "appearances" emit alot of low noise and it's possible that he can't hear clearly above that even with a hearing aid. So, someone reads him what's being said which is why he looks so dorky like he's trying to think in the pauses between questions and when Kerry speaks.

The box is bigger than a regular hearing aid which hold batteries because it needs to have capability to translate sound from another person.

Why doesn't he just admit he's deaf? Weakness? Why does the White House lie and say he isn't "wired" and that it's nothing.

I've seen too many photos and one shot myself on C-Span to not be convinced he has something on his back.

I'm trying to be kind about the hearing aid...maybe it's worse!

A physical examination of Texas Governor George W. Bush revealed that the presidential hopeful is in excellent health with the minor exception of mild hearing loss. he was "divining" the answers out of thin air.

I'm not usually into stuff like this, but I really think he has
been wired all 3 debates and that the device didn't work the first debate but has the last 2.

"It's hard work" "It's hard work" -- that's all gotten straightened out and I think it's due to fixing what was probably a malfunctioning device the first debate.

I hope Salon and NYT saw what I saw tonight. The eyes and the Box on his back when the debate was all over.

I saw it LIVE. I am 100% convinced he's wired and cheating.

51. When they shook hands at the end, Kerry did a light backslap on Bush
so maybe Kerry can tell us what that "thing" felt like.

56. New spin:
"Chimp didn't lose the debate, his handler did."

It might work!

57. Looks like Kerry's got one too!
I taped the debate, thought I would revisit the scene in question, and can affirm that the pictures posted are real. Interesting thing, though, is when you look at Kerry's back several seconds prior to this, the one where he is leaning forward to give Pickles a hug, the same box shape appears in the same spot on Kerry. Not quite as pronounced, but noticeable.

When he straightens up, it goes away. If you look at Kerry in the 2nd pic you can see it, though not as good as in the Pickles shot.

Don't have the technology to capture it.

59. Watch for left hand side shots of * at the podium as well
Watching on CNNI, definitely a protrusion with a sharp upper corner coming out from between his shoulder blades . No wrinkles or bad tailoring excuses this time, Mr Quasimodo.

63. It's just confirmation that Balrogs really do have wings.
(If you've ever been on a Tolkien board, that is a subject of much contention and many flame wars.)

Sorry, it's late and I'm getting a little silly.:silly:

64. I show the bulge too..
My vidcaps show the same thing (off c-span)...

Meanwhile, Kerry's pen in jacket pocket maneuver is clearly identified this time:

And Kerry attempted a bit of a "bulge" check on Bush afterwards:

75. Photos of him in Pickup.
It was posted on DU. He had some device in his back there, as well. I think it's a device that send msgs to his ear. Maybe they decided he needs that so the SS can call him ASAP if there is an emergency.
