2 college juniors sue over voting-machine memos.

Inquirer Staff Writer

They saw themselves as computer geeks, not voting activists. But two Internet-savvy Swarthmore College juniors have gained national prominence for their battle with Diebold Election Systems Inc., a major manufacturer of electronic voting machines.

Nelson Pavlosky and Luke Smith, both 20, last month won a federal court case against Diebold for the right to post an archive of 15,000 internal Diebold memos from 1999 to 2003 that appear to expose serious flaws in the company's voting machines.
