Did Bush have a gob of dried spit on the corner of his mouth?
Early in the debate? On the left side of the picture, his right side?

1. Yes, he did.
And I wonder how many people that persuaded not to vote for him!

8. It persuaded me!
;-)

I just wanted to be sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. Now if that had been on Gore's mouth four years ago, it would have been all we heard about whenever Gore's name came up. Kerry seems immune to that kind of character stamping for some reason. But Bush is immune to it for no good reason that I can see.

4. we saw that thing and thought it might be a pustule of some type. Also,
he kept his jaw relaxed early on - if you see the beginning, his mouth is ajar - I think he had some kind of mini-retainer on to help keep his teeth from clenching, which leads to intense facial contortion in his case.

Someone told him to stand up straight and shove his face out this time, which he did pretty well. He was also told to smile lots - which made him look clownish and shallow in the face of the serious issues they were debating.
