MSNBC panel says Mary Cheney's "lifestyle" is disgusting
Lynn Cheney agrees, says Kerry never should have exposed Mary Cheney's life of sin and deviance

1. I agree with Buchanan
Kerry should call Cheney tomorrow and appologize for bringing up his daughter. Put it to bed before they Republicans can talk about this rather than the debate.

Dick Cheney even thanked him for the kind words.

5. screw that, Kerry is playing hardball
If the repubs cant handle cheney's daughter being a lesbian, let them stew i ntheir own confusion.

This is a long time coming, folks.

7. No he shouldn't. Kerry should say there is nothing embarassing
about being gay. That millions of Americans are gay and proud and don't find saying it embarassing. That millions more parents of gay children also don't find it embarassing to say they have a gay child. That is what supportive parents do.

8. I disagree ....
what should Kerry apologize for? For saying Mary Cheney is gay? She is a public figure and Dick Cheney goes around saying "My daughter Mary is gay" So Howard Whoreman thinks that it is okay for Cheney to mention it but not Kerry - why? They are acting like Mary Cheney has a disease or been to jail or something. She is gay - there is nothing to apologize for? Oh don't bring it up = stay hidden.

The Cheney's and the republicans should apologize for being ashamed of Mary Cheney's sexuality.

9. What? Forget about it
If Cheney didn't want his daughter mentioned in this election, he shouldn't have used her and her sexual orientation so many times in his own speeches this year. Kerry did nothing wrong. Her father uses her, her mother denies her.

10. Kerry and Edwards know what they are doing.
They are turning ther wedge issue back on bush and cheney. There is no way that the republicans want to spend the next 3 weeks discussing how they will not stand up for their sons and daughters and are willing to sacrifice their families to win elections.

13. Cheney's was in IA
Cheney's was in IA and he was trying to get people to like him,So he talk about his daughter being gay.
The News for Weeks said how nice it was for Cheney to bring up his daughter being gay.I think this is
all bullshit to say Kerry was trying to make Cheney daughter look bad.Kerry care more about Cheney daughter
than Bush and Cheney do.

about Cheney and his GAY DAUGHTER for one moment longer? I think not.

16. no friggin way
The fact they are ashamed of their own daughter has nothing to do with Kerry. That's like saying ( if you were married) someone talking about your husband or wife. It would be the fact of your life. Don't you see the that Lynn Cheney is the one who actually has the problem here?

24. Apologize for what?!?!
It's not like he bashed anybody for being gay.

That these dipshits think mentioning that their child is gay shows that they still feel it's some kind of dirty little secret.

It's fine for them to exploit the fact that Mary is gay for their campaign, but not for anybody else to mention it?!?!?!?

Open your fucking eyes.

26. Umm.. she's openly gay!
The GOP needs to apologize to HER for not having her onstage at the convention. Why the HELL would anyone have to apologize from Kerry's camp? She's openly gay... not like he outed her.

We've seen that the media doesn't give a sh-t about context anymore, so practically everything Kerry says is distorted. Kerry should apologize and bury this issue.

28. that would be ridiculous - kerry was caring and accepting
and supportive that mary was born that way - this is truth

truth is not something to apologize for

their not accepting people are born this way is their problem not kerry's and not the rest of us who accept and understand the FACT

6. What the fuck is wrong with America?
She's lesbian, deal with it. Why can't Kerry mention it? Oh, right, Republicans are totally against homosexuality and to find out the Veeps daughter is gay sure puts a crimp on what they can and can't say.

Suck it up. Deal with it. She's gay and what Kerry said was right on.

Far more relevant than anything the right wing ever said about Chelsea Clinton.

Kerry should come right back with, as the earlier poster said, a jab at the heart. Let her be gay, let her be proud. There's nothing wrong with Mary being who she is.

He can tell the truth AND kick their asses all at once. It's the ol' win-win if you ax me.

20. All those considering Kerry's referral to Cheney's daughter
as bad taste are homophobic. If you believe there ain't nuthin' wrong with women loving women, a public acknowledgment by Kerry of something Mary herself has acknowledged is not bad taste.

25. NO apology
John Kerry didn't attack Mary Cheney's lifestyle, he didn't say anything negative about her. To apologize for his remarks would be to say that being gay is an embarassment.

The only place this is being brought up is on MSNBC, where they are actively whoring for Bush like they have done after each and every debate.
