i thought kerry turned in by far his best performance yet, and bush did somewhere in between the 1st and 2nd. the smirk was definately out in full force tonight...

anyway, probably kerry's most damning quote was the "i don't really worry about him" osama quote. that might have washed away had smirky not called him on it. that assured it would be a story.

i was watching with a bar full of college students and when bush said that, the place went CRAZY! if anyone out there didn't know he said it, they will now.

ironically, had the chimperor watched f/911, he might have barely gotten a 2nd term...

2. I saw very little of the smirk but lots of forced smiling. He was trying

for an upbeat, positive look. Tried to stand upright instead of hunching over and grasping the lectern. He worked with his voice, as well, emphasizing some of his points by raising the pitch.

It was all in all, sad and pitiful to watch him exert so mightily and come up so very short. He needs to leave asap so we can get on with fixing his messes.
