LAMEST Bush Answer....It's Tough, But I'll Say: |
|
You're asking whether I would support overturning Roe V. Wade. What you're REALLY asking me is do I have a Litmus (sp?) Test?
NO YOU IDIOT, WHAT HE REALLY ASKED IS IF YOU SUPPORT OVERTURNING ROE V. WADE!
God!! I hope it PISSED the Freeps off to no end that he didn't jump in there and say YES! WE MUST MAKE ABORTION ILLEGAL, AND SAVE ALL THE BABY STEM CELLS TOO!

1. He said he doesn't have a litmus test -- but he said otherwise |
|
in the second debate. When he said he wouldn't appoint judges who would have upheld "Dred Scott". This is the decision that right-to-lifers use to argue for overturning Roe v. Wade. So he was saying that he has a litmus test and it's that he wouldn't appoint judges who would uphold Roe v. Wade. THAT'S a litmus test. Again, Bush lied and in a very sneaky, subliminal way. He used code talk to the Religious Right.

Implying that all the outsourced workers are undereducated and need to go to community colleges was pretty lame too. Uh, George, most of the people with outsourced jobs have more degrees than you do, and they actually earned them.

4. I thought Kerry should've nailed him there |
|
Kerry should've raised the issue to force Bush to say whether or not he wants to outlaw abortion.
Today on Hardball Bush spokesperson Nicole Devenish, when pressed by Tweety said that Bush does not want to outlaw abortion.. then stammered and said "because the country isn't ready yet", and that he supports a "culture of life".
I wonder what the fundie base thinks about that.

5. The funny thing is that his answer probably pissed off both sides |
|
of that issue. By him not saying that yes, he would support overturning Roe v. Wade probably infuriated the anti-choice right, while at the same time to pro-choice supporters his dodging answer was transparent.
It was a lose/lose answer for him. HA.

6. I thought *'s lamest answer was on the assault weapons ban... |
|
He basically threw a softball to Kerry when he said the reason he didn't push for it was because Delay said there wouldn't be the votes for it in Congress. Kerry hammered him on lack of leadership and said if he were President, he would have insisted they get something done.
