Bubble Boy was flying high on something last night!
Did you hear him "woop" at the end of one of Kerry's answers? And a big "whew" another time. And he was laughing so hard his shoulders were bouncing up and down and that shit-eating grin on his face for about 82 minutes of the debate? He was clearly on a happy, mellow drug. Amazing he could stay on point (well, his NCLB point) the whole time.

He didn't answer about 4 major questions. He lied about Kerry a thousands times. And I think the people of Massachusetts should be offended the way he derisively says "he's a liberal from Massachusetts. After all, can you imagine what the chimp would do if Kerry said something about the "whole other country" yech * barf * state of TEXAS?

Kerry was very polished last night. He answered most questions excellent and slammed Smirky in subtle ways (loved that line about Bin Laden's playbook telling his guys to go to American gun shows) and he appealed to voters he needs in a non-pandering way (women, Latinos, gun owners).

I'm happy ... 3-0! :bounce:

1. At the time I wondered what drug he was on. There were fewer
ers, hms, and how he usually speaks. This is not a man who usually can't speak and think on his feet. Of course, basically, he just preached with so many lies coming from his mouth I thought the dais would be flooded. Bob Scheiffer did a lousy job.

2. Kerry did very well and won, hands down.
I thought Bush did crappy, but then again, I was yelling, 'LIAR!!!' so much I may have missed the parts where he did well if the media is to be believed.

I think Kerry came across as very sincere about his positive vision for America, and most of all, he came across as Presidential.

I got that Bush believes what he is saying at the moment, and forgets about it all shortly afterwards. There is something seriously wrong with the guy. I really do think he has some sort of dementia and is mentally unfit to be the President. In a few years, he will be a drooling vegetable.

4. LOL..I too was screaming "Liar" at the TV.
Why can't people remember the obvious? They covered up Reagan's mental decline. Soon after he left obvious....totally althzheimers (sp)! Now we are witnessing the same decline in this dork. It really scares me what will happen to our country if he gets re-selected.

3. Oh, and another thing...
I thought the moderator asked some biased questions to Kerry (the Republicans accuse you of...) and softballs to Smirky. I was pissed at first, then I realized Kerry was being given a golden opportunity to answer the stupid charges...and he did!

Oh, and I hated that last question. What the hell is that all about? Do you really think those two powerful, extremely well known men are NOT going to say how strong and powerful their wives are? That sounded like an Oprah question to me and totally inappropriate for a debate. And because Kerry said a few times "I agree with the President" and it gave me a Gore moment of panic.

5. Bush's behavior was creepy, IMO
In the first debate his facial expressions sunk him, but at least he was being himself.

In last night's debate he looked like a mental patient hopped up on drugs, with that forced smile and eyes wide open (when he wasn't blinking), and seemed to be looking up and staring into space while Kerry was talking.

Bush was much better in his second debate than the first or third. He was able to walk around and get out his nervous energy. It seems he is very uncomfortable standing still and giving formal speeches. Who knows, he may have attention deficit disorder. He certainly seems hyper/unable to concentrate.

6. "Transition from idiot to drooling idiot - not good" - AAR joke just now
PDB to W recommending kleenex for his spittle.
Yeah, he was so very manic - in a subdued way - it hurt watching.

8. He did?
I didn't notice his color on my TV, but I did notice on CSPAN that they kept zooming in on him. One minute you see him in his high chair (the podium visible) then they zoom in and he is huge!!!!! His head was about twice the size of Kerry's. He looked like the Marshmallow man in Ghost Busters! :7

10. We were laughing over that too. They spent the entire debate trying to
zoom in and out, in a desperate attempt to make the men appear the same height-without Bush ending up looking like a really giant baby. His head was huge! :hi:

12. I'm not much for conspiracy theories, but...
what other explanation could there be? He was frothing at the mouth! If he wasn't on something, then he was nervous to the point of being completely out of control. I guess that could happen from being put in a position of having to defend the indefensible, but really, is this any way for the leader of the free world to be acting? It is his job to appear presidential, not to look like a serial killer.

Someone here has a great side by side photo of Smirk and Ted Bundy (they look like twins separated at birth).

Welcome to DU! :toast:

13. Did you notice too that Bush was frothing at the mouth?
In the right corner of his mouth was a white gob of saliva. Nothing particularly weird about that except that Bush never once tried to wipe it off. When someone slobbers, someone wipes their mouth. Unless they don't even notice it. And the only time someone doesn't notice it is when they're so "sedated" they don't even feel it.

Didn't you want to wipe that off?

Amazing that NO ONE on TV even mentioned it!
