Vote Nov 2nd for bush..Nov 3rd for Kerry?
A canvasser told me last night that she found out that in certain areas of my city that pamphlets were being passed around that told people that if you were voting for bush you vote on Nov 2nd and if you are voting for Kerry you vote on Nov 3rd.
I wouldn't put anything past the repubs, but has anyone else heard of anything like this? I wish she would have had some proof with her, but it was just her word.

2. No, she wasn't "buying" it
She claimed that someone was trying to screw with the voters.

4. Report it!
This isn't anything new. I think it was in Baltimore last election when fliers were being passed around telling people the wrong day to date. It was an attempt to suppress the urban vote. This happens all the time. It's absolutely disgusting.

6. That's what she was saying
I would report it, but all she told me was that they were passing these fliers around in the African American communities that she canvassed.
She was canvassing for Kerry BTW.

5. This deception was actually attempted in 2000 as well to hurt Dems
Another reason why we need to keep spreading the word, getting out the vote and encourage early voting in places that open early. Here in N.C., we can begin voting today.

7. Repubs stop at nothing!
This is just another example of how desperate the repubs have become! In my city, they steal the Kerry bumper stickers right off the cars on which they are attached! They know they are going to lose and are trying everything can think of, no matter how lame or underhanded. I really hope nobody falls for this BS.

8. Old slimy tactic. A local hate radio jock makes it election year routine.
Boortz thinks it's funny. Most shameful really.

9. Seems to me . . .
. . . that anybody stupid enough to fall for it is too stupid to be voting in the first place!

10. That's not cool
You have to understand that there are a LOT of people who just never grew up in a political household. Many people have never paid attention to the political process.
People aren't born with the innate knowledge of American politics. We have all learned about it to some certain degree. It was very surprising in 2000 to hear how many regular voters had no idea about the electoral college. Many people had no idea about it or how it worked.
Voter registration is at an all time high this election year and many of these people are not aware of the whole process, they just want bush out of office.
To call them stupid is a bit arrogant, but I'm sure that you know all there is to know about are electoral process, so maybe these people do look stupid to you. They need to learn is all.
