1. Not sure I buy that
When Rethugs squeal, it's usually because they want to distract you from something else.

5. Distraction is the key
because they've got nothing else.

But the knee-jerk homophobia of the talking heads was very clear last night.

2. It's an opportunity for gay rights groups, too.
And when they point out the hypocrisy, too, that leaves the right to try to explain just what the problem is.

3. Jon Stewart did it best
He reviewed the Edwards/Cheney debate. When quoting John Edwards, the sound engineers cranked up the echo and the reverb to annunciate:

"Dick Cheney's GAY DAUGHTER"

4. Let them squeal.
Lesbian is not a dirty word. Nobody should apologize saying it.

6. The Fragrance of Desperation
If this isn't a spin machine off-message (Kerry is being chided not for being ultra-liberal, but not being liberal enough), I don't know what is.

These guys have nothing. Shooting blanks. I can't think of a worse note to come out on after a third and final debate.

BTW, keep in mind that this is coming from the people that called McCain brainwashed and said we'd all die in a nuclear apocalypse if Kerry was elected.

Two-faced assheads (sorry, had to be said).

7. Mary Cheney is campaigning for Bush
She' fair game. Andrew Sullivan's point is well taken. As a Lesbian, I agree: mentioning Mary Cheney is a problem if you think that being gay is a problem.

8. I think it's brilliant
Edited on Thu Oct-14-04 09:20 AM by ibegurpard
Mary Cheney doesn't have a problem with people knowing she's a lesbian so putting the Republicans in a position of speaking out on behalf of gay people is delicious.
