And why is it the Bush's never adopted any children? |
|
For a guy so big on adoption as the answer to providng loving homes for unwanted children, he hasn't exactly walked the walk.

I was under the impression that they had made arrangements to adopt a baby but then reneged when Laura became Pregnant. I also remember hearing that they actually got the baby and then sent it back. Again, I'm sure this is just a rumor.

I have known a handful of wonderful people in my life who adopted or foster parented older or special needs kids. Because it's a big interest for me, I've always asked what their position was on abortion. All of them: pro-choice. I've known numerous pro-life people in my life and I don't recall any of them taking in any kids.

4. I think someone in the family has..but |
|
I think its very arrogant to assume that every female that happens to become pregnant can endure both child birth and the pain of adoption.
I am very involved in adoption and there is a LOT of pain surrounding it on both sides. The adoptee and the birth parent both suffer. Sometimes the adoptee can come through it pretty darn well and almost unharmed by it, but never will they come through it unaffected.
Giving a child up for adoption is not easy. Can you imagine being raped or being the victim of incest and then having to go through a pregnancy and also give the child up for adoption or have to choose which one to do. This is never so easy as they would like it to be.
I am an adoptive mother, I am a birth grandmother, I am a former foster mother, a wife of an adoptee, a sister to an adoptee, and I work with adoptee and birthparents when they meet later in life.
I think the best question for the ones that are so against choice is, are they adopting the children from foster care??? probably not!!! That requires a real conviction of your ideas.

5. I use to work in a High Risk Clinic |

and I never saw any of these Pro-lifers volunteering around there. Once these kids are born, then they are on their own.

6. I'm still suspicious of that "emergency appendectomy" Jenna had... |
|
...right after the Scalia Five selected her daddy. Did anyone read or hear of any details leading up to her hospitalization? Usually, appendicitis constitutes an emergency but the Chimp couldn't even be bothered to break away from his Florida fishing trip to go to her bedside in Texas.
If I were a betting person, I'd put my money on abortion.

8. Don't they frown on coke-head, alcoholic, meglomaniacs adopting kids? |
|
I'm mean, I'd heard something like that. But maybe it's just a rumor.
