Has there been any discussion of "when Bush deflated"?
There was a point about an hour into the debate where he suddenly lost his stridency and urgency and just looked and sounded tired, like he had just given up.

He was like that through the following question and then gradually got pumped again. I think I saw someone else mention it in the "debate threads", so I know I wasn't imagining it.

1. The batteries went dead in the wire reciever
Should have used Energizer, They keep going and going

2. the first thing i noticed
was that crooked half smirk. i thought how odd it looked.

he demeanor changed throughout the debate. he is one flipped out freak.

5. About a half-hour into the debate, it was Bush's bedtime.
I noticed that his energy level started to drop around 9:30pm ET, and by 10pm, he fell back into his old habits of stammering and frantically searching for words.
