John Kerry's "Letter to America" |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-14-04 12:41 PM by truthpusher
I would like to make a suggestion to the Kerry Campaign - If you like this idea, please help if you can.
In the final few weeks of the campaign John Kerry needs to communicate with specific groups of Americans clearly about what he is going to do about all of their concerns. The problem is: the media does not cover speeches well and everything is always mis-quoted or taken out of context. Plus, the barrage of negativity coming from the Republican spin machine will be unprecedented. Kerry needs to somehow communicate below the radar and provide the media and the community with a clear source to quote from; a source that cannot be misconstrued. Here is my suggestion:
The Kerry campaign will hold a news-conference announcing that Kerry will be releasing a 'Letter to America'. They can say that John Kerry is concerned that the public is not hearing directly from him how he was going to help them when he becomes president. He can explain how the media is not a good steward of information and he would like to talk to them directly. So, here is what he will do:
Kerry will release a letter every one or two days speaking directly to the concerns of specific groups of Americans who he feels are not getting the whole story. The Open letter/Press release will be announced every one or two days and will culminate with a final 'Letter to America' that will be released a few days before election day. Here are the letters that I suggest:
'Letter to America's Families' 'Letter to the America's Troops' 'Letter to America's Communities' (Minority groups) 'Letter to Older American's' 'Letter to America's Youth' 'Letter to the Global Community' 'Letter to Iraq'
Please if you like this idea and you know somebody in the Kerry campaign, let them know.
Thanks
