my imagination? Tweety cheerleading crowds to vote Bush?? |
|
the debate was over, and I had the smaller tv on mute, which meant the words run in a crawl under the picture. I had been flipping around both tvs, when I happened upon tweety walking outside down a line of people, encouraging them to "vote for president! vote Bush!" as the wind blew his hair awry. It was at the runniing of credits and he was walking down the line of people behind a string barrier, many of whom were holding kerry signs.
Did I just imagine this or did anyone else witness this?

I was like 10 feet away from Matthews. 90% of the people in the front row had "Kerry/Edwards" signs, except the people directly behind him. Most of them had "Bush/Cheney" signs, and they probably correctly guessed that the camera would be on Matthews for most of the time.

my impression was he was taking an informal poll of the crowd as to who they would vote for. He did a sound very enthusiastic when calling out Bush's name; but he then went on to ask who's voting for Kerry.
