Nonprofit Group Claims Trailer Park Discriminated Against African-American Applicants

When 11 News visited the Todd Village rental office, an unidentified person inside said: "I have nothing to say to you. It's all in litigation and I have nothing to say to you, so I'm asking you to leave."

WBAL-TV 11 also did not receive return phone calls from Todd Village's owner, Frederick Smith. Smith owns Todd Village LLC, the defendant listed on the lawsuit.

The company address for Todd Village LLC is 10706 Beaver Dam Road in Cockeysville, Md., which is the same address for the world headquarters of Sinclair Broadcasting, the company Frederick Smith serves as vice president.

"Todd Village has a clear connection to Sinclair Broadcasting, and I think that has caused a lot of interest in this case. And I wanted to make the point that when we first got involved in addressing the complaints of the people in Todd Village, we really didn't know who owned it and it really didn't matter," Coffey said.
