1. This is a bad idea
This was part of the reason Dean lost Iowa. They didn't really like all those orange hats coming in from out of state to sway their election. I wish the Guardian would take this down.

3. I couldn't agree more.
When Sen. Landrieu (D-LA) was running for re-election in Louisiana last year, I got several calls from out of state about her pro-choice stance. I was very irritated that they were from out of state. I told them I'm glad my senator is wise enough to separate her position in government from her religious faith.

4. We never said
I think most of us Kerryites either tried to blend in to the local culture, make some sort of connection (I have family in Arkansas, it's true), or recognize that we were out-of-staters and state we were just trying to help Democrats in general. Something like that. I've been thinking of making a post about some of the things we learned from Iowa. I really don't want to make the same mistake twice. Worst thing was "I took two weeks off to come out here." Their response? Then you don't know anything about getting by paycheck to paycheck.

6. The pro-life callers didn't tell me their location, either.
I have caller-id. ;) I jotted down the phone number/organization name & called Sen. Landrieu's office. :)

2. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not
but it is interesting. I'd like to see what happens.
