Freepers blasted me at work: Does Kerry think he is God? |
|
By far, I think Kerry tapped into his spiritual side last night; however, he clearly qualifies his position to support the separation of church and state, and the virtues of keeping ones faith to oneself and not pushing moral/religious values onto someone else.
But my freeper coworkers freaked on me today!
"What does Kerry know about God" "I thought you said Kerry wouldn't preach to us" "He's just trying to be like *, a real Christian!!"
Those were some quotes from today. I smiled, and said, "Ahhh, President Kerry . . .sounds sweet!"
That drives them nuts.

1. My co workers aren't as creative |
|
Mine just go on and on about "he voted for the war, didn't he? He's a flip flopper!"
They get mad when I talk about Bush's flips and flops.

5. Tell him that Bush never goes to Church without a photo op. |
|
That includes his stint as Governor. Almost never, before he entered politics.

7. The gem from my co-workers who are repugs |
|
"Kerry is sleazy and he makes my skin crawl" When I asked them to give reasons why. "He just does he is a sleaze ball." When I pushed further they got mad and stalked away.

Seriously. I've seen it happen. She's not an especially political person, prefers to think about other stuff, but watching bush on TV makes her vomit. She says it's the intensely evil hit she gets from his organization and the disinterested insincerity he radiates. She can't watch Darth Cheney, either.

8. Bush is a real MOONIE, not a Christian. |
|
Funny how RevMoon is the only religious leader who TRULY profits off his relationship with the Bush family. He now controls almost half this nation's fishing industry as well as a huge chunk of our media and freepers are too dumb to figure it out.

Moon is the Anti-Christ, and Bush is the Beast. Bush went out for Anti-Christ, but he couldn't pass the test without a prompter strapped to his back.

12. oh man. you know, I am a very fallen-away Catholic but... |
|
I still bristle at something like this. And then I remember what an old supervisor of mine would say about non-Catholics when they acted disparaging about us (in the 70's it was apparently ok to call us papists, without worry of that being a slur). He just called them Brand X'ers. As in, this protestant sect didn't like this, and that protestant sect didn't like that, and they all differed from the original brand in some way but it was hard to remember how...
I'm not denigrating different beliefs. But I'll be damned if I'll let some Brand Xer call himself more Christian than a practicing Catholic.
