Bush said he is proud of his record. WTF... What is good about it. |
|
He is really grasping now. I certainly wouldn't be proud of his record. "He kin run, but he kin-not hyyyde", from it.

1. Well, my favorite explaination is... |
|
That he comes from a religeous background that emphasizes the doctrine that true faith leads to good works: If I act from true faith, then God will ensure that good comes from my actions.
Now, we all know from high school logic class that the contrapositive must then also be true: If my works *aren't* good, then I must not have true faith.
In Dubya's moral universe, questioning his actions, or his results, is *equivalent* to questioning his intentions, or his faith.
He *can't* admit mistakes, because in his mind he's acting out of true faith, and so he couldn't possibly be *making* any mistakes.
I stole this from a very interesting article that I read recently, but I can't find it, and I no longer remember who wrote it. If anybody out there recognizes the original material, that would be great.
My second favorite reason is simply that Bush has nothing left to do but bluff. Even if he recognizes he's screwed up, what can he do? Admitting failure of that magnitude will destroy his chances. If we had a sane news industry, a bluff would be doomed to failure, but in the world we actually live in, a bluff has at least an even chance of succeeding. So, they're going all in with a pair of twos....

5. He is referring to ... |
|
to little known albums of cover songs he recorded back in his boozing, snorting days:
Dubya Sings the Chipmunk's Greatest Hits
Dubya Does Disco
Push, Push, in the Bush
Snowy Jack Bush
Two Silver Spoons
None were hits and faced into obscurity, but he thinks highly of them.

3. He can bluff all he wants about his so-called |

great record. His 35% base will fall for it. We, and the rest of the majority, won't.

7. yup, he's oh-so-proud of the worst security failure in American history |
|
and he's oh-so-proud of going to war for reasons that turned out to be completely, embarrassingly, bogus.
He's like a little boy that burned the house down while playing with matches and now he's proud of it????
