I made Howard Dean laugh today. |
|
He did a rally at Civic Center Park today in Downtown Denver. I was doing visibility for Ken Salazar. Anyway, after the speech, he was talking to people and I went up to him to talk to him. I told him, "I wanted to tell you that you are one of two people that inspired me to get involved." Dean said "Well, thanks. I appreciate that." I then said "Bush was the other one." ;) He and the other people there all threw their heads back in laughter. It was really cool.

10. Sorry, didn't mean to slight Edwards - I am in his camp. |
|
But choosing between the two... wow, that will be hard. Glad I dont have to worry about it for another 8 years. *grin.

Got to shake his hand once. I was too tongue tied to say anything. Great story.

15. I will always be grateful to Howard Dean for being there in the dark hours |
|
I am very proud of John Kerry, our candidate who has brought us close to the goal, but Howard Dean had the more difficult job of getting us started.
He is one of the great Americans of my life time.

16. Well, doggone it, I agree. |
|
He spoke out at a very dark time for my husband and myself. We were so angry over the war vote, and we heard his speech at the CA Dem convention in March last year....you know the I wanna know speech.
We have been supporters ever since, and still very active with DFA.

20. I was electrified by that speech. I stood up and cheered! |
|
I was working on my computer and had Cspan on. I heard other talking and didn't pay attention.
Then he started talking!
I want my country back!
Yes! Yes! I had tears in my eyes.
My husband came in the room to find out what was going on.
It absolutely electrified me and the electricity hasn't turned off yet. I think he's the best thing to have happened to the Democratic party since FDR and Harry Truman and JFK and LBJ and Carter and Clinton.

I had never seen anything like it. He shocked those Democrats, but they yelled and cheered.
