Bush supporters are scared. Here's how I can tell. |
|
In my office before the first presidential debate, there was a lot of anticipation over who would win. Everybody else in the office says they're voting for Bush.
The morning after the first debate...silence. Nobody brings up the debate or the presidential election in general.
After three presidential debates and one vice-presidential debate, I'm hearing comments like, "Those debates aren't going to change any voters' minds." Or, "I'm through listening to those polls." Or, "That debate format was unfair."
Ya think these Bush supporters are in denial? Maybe, their chimp-in-chief is not the swaggering, he-man with the sharp mind that they thought he was?
Are you seeing similar behavior among the Bush supporters where you work?

After the first two debates, they couldn't shut up about their guy and I would sit here with my door closed and thing, WTF???? Are they seeing the same debate I'm seeing?
Today, not a WORD, not a bloody WORD from them. In fact I think they may all have laryngitis. :P

Some people are so stupid that the will vote for Kerry just because they want to go with the winner, and the winner Kerry shall be! Pick the winner! Vote Kerry/Edwards 2004!
Then ... you'll be a winner too! :D

gay Republican friend (we call him the Red Queen) is a good example. Day after the 1st debate--no emails about it whatsoever--absolute silence! 2d debate--he emails the usual "conservative" links showing positives on the Chimp. I and my friends counter-attack his claims of a Chimp victory. 3d debate again silence until one of my friends sends out a link showing a Kerry victory--the Red Queen counter-attacks with the usual "conservative" links. We bombard him with so much Kerry victory links--he sends out links about Mary Cheney--couldn't handle the fact that Kerry won all 3 debates. And we love it!

15. A thinking * person would have to be conflicted about it by now |

Clearly * is at very best incompetent. So, how does anybody square it in their mind? The only justification I hear anymore at all is the thing about * being "pro life", the ONLY thing.

in the con corners of my office. They are quietly licking their wounds and sadly gazing at the curled up bush/cheney bumper stickers they've removed from their vehicles. I think they finally realized that if you run around with a "Bozo for Prez" sticker, people will think you are a Bozo too. They'll still probably vote for their little cowboy, but they're in the closet about it now. heh heh
