The Bulge is there today too! Under the blue check shirt |
|
TV shows Bush on the stump at a rally, wearing a blue checked shirt, and there's the outline of what looks to me like some kind of vest underneath it. Since he's just mouthing his usual stuff, and reading off notes, I don't think there's any need for him to be radio-cued. I think it's a Kevlar vest.
My husband had mentioned a few weeks ago that Bush was looking a little tubby lately -- as if he's gained a lot of weight. You see it best when he's wearing a shirt with no jacket. I think maybe it's just that vest.

5. Why would the Secret Service or Administration . . . |
|
want to confirm that Shrub wears a bulletproof vest? To do so would only serve to encourage potential assassins to aim for the head!
Moreover, if Shrub or the Secret Service believes that he needs a bulletproof vest when in public, wouldn't that almost amount to an admission that Shrub is not beloved, to say the least?

4. Looked like a vest to me |

It reminds me of how cops look when they have theirs on.

I have watched these threads for sometime now, and the one possibility I have yet to see is this...
What if it is a simple tracking device. You know, something to help the SS (secret service) know his exact location at all times...
Just a thought....

7. Couldn't they just implant a chip? |
|
I mean, if they're thinking to locate him after he's been kidnapped -- heaven forbid -- couldn't the kidnappers just take off a bulky and very visible vest. An implanted chip would be a lot more secure, wouldn't it?
Nah, I don't think it's some kind of locating device. I thought from the beginning it had something to do with his health. He did too poorly in all the debates for him to have been receiving answers, and the failure to have a physical is just raising too many flags for me.

8. A chip? No, there is not one that can transmit long distances... |
|
However, I think you are right in that it is most likely a health device or some other benign explanation.
To invoke Occam's Razor in this case - (paraphrased) the most likely explanation is the simplest one.

"Escape From New York."
Or as Kurt would say, "Catches on quick, don't she?"
