Bush's Abortion Problem?
It is interesting that in the third debate when asked directly , George W. Bush refused to answer whether he would like to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Why?

12. That indiscretion happened before
...Roe v. Wade, I thought...which means it was one of those "illegal" ones that only rich women could have, where all happens in a hospital, there's a complicit doctor, and the whole drill is disguised as a remedy for a female 'complaint.' No coathangers!

2. cause most moderates support the right to choose
and they, the undecideds, will eventually decide the election.

I notice that in Freeperland there is nary a word on the subject.

3. Didn't he have a sticky little secret?

I don't think he wants someone to bring that one up.

Something about an African American lady from Texas?

5. The fact of the matter is, They would never over turn Roe v Wade
Once they overturn it, they loose the hook they have in the Right to Life voters. This is something they just keep stringing thes sorry suckers along with.
It's like teasing the dog with the bone.

10. Damn, you're right!
Never quite thought of it that way, but it's right.

Like the old joke: Guy walks down the street and sees a sign for a new rug store, so he goes inside. The big showroom is empty, except for one beautiful rug laid out in the middle of the floor. The guy is approached by a salesman, who says "Hi, I'm Ted. Welcome to my rug store!" The guy says, "well, this certainly is a beautiful rug... how much is it?" Ted says, "Oh I'm sorry sir, but that rug is not for sale!" "Why not?" Ted replies "Well, obviously sir, if I sell that rug, I'm out of business!"

Obviously, the right wing can't do anything that would risk actually selling the rug...

13. Roe v Wade response to liberal N proud
liberal N proud you are so right! Blue kool-aid drinkers make up 17-18 per cent of their base. That is their only issue abortions. Republicians control the three branches of govt. now. If they want to do something about would not they already done it.

17. Exactly!
I've started challenging Repuglicans about this. What are they waiting for, I ask? They have control of the WH, both houses of Congress, and the Supreme Court. What's the hold-up?

Ask them and watch them stutter and burble and try to answer.

The "Compassionate Conservate" comes out of hibernation every four years right before election. If he's elected and gets his choice of new judges, he'll be back on the trail to overturn Roe Vs. Wade.

7. Because he knows admitting to overturning Roe is a catalyst that...
...would force fence sitters and undecideds to make a choice. And that's what it's all about. Do you support a woman's right to choose or not? And in reality, most people believe ultimately that decision should rest with a woman, her partner and their doctor, not the government.

$hrub is a pussy for not taking a stand. You and I know overturning Roe is on the top of their agenda. And that bullshit about "no litmus test" for judges. Puhleeeze.

He got away with the con-man double speak on this in 2000 but sorry now it's time to answer the fucking question. Should abortion be legal in the United States of America or NOT?

18. Abortions Issue Bush hangs hiself on
As I understood no candidate was to use any clips of the debate for their campaigns. Kerry has air a commerical when Bush said It was exageration that he was not worried about bin LADEN. Expect to see KERRY AD on this This will put doubt in this relgious right minds may then they will vote their pocketbooks.
I know Bush did not play by the rules when he nearly attacked CHARLIE GIBSON Kerry won this Debate than we all realize

14. Bush is a coward
Unlike Kerry, who was willing to tell it straight to the American people, that he will only appoint justices who support choice, baby georgie didn't want to offend anyone. We all know Bush will never, ever appoint a pro-choice justice to the supreme court. Why is he too afraid to admit it?
I really respect Kerry for telling it like it is.

16. He refused to answer alot of questions

He didn't answer on minimum wage, the economy, jobs, environment...what exactly DID he answer that wasn't related to the war or terrorism?

Oh wait, he dodged the Bin Laden question too, scratch terrorism off the list of questions he dodged.

before the debate was pressed by Tweety about whether Bush wanted to overturn Roe and she said he had not called for that and "didn't think the country was ready" to overturn it or something along those lines. I was struck by it at the time.
