Now I'm really pissed off & won't be held accountable for my actions! |
|
Yes I have joined the Sims 2 rage I'm queer, I'm allowed!
A 15 year old Gay person was verbally attacked & told he was going to rot in hell because he's Gay & God Hates Faggots!
You ask what this has to do with the election? three of the posts had Sig lines that said Veterans for truth! I went ballistic! I said what I had to say the (idiots had their e-mails listed). I contacted EA games about this & before I even got back to the thread the posts were deleted (Kudos to the moderators there for that one). I have talked with this poor boy & of course he lives freeperville Anywhere U.S.A. I Explained to him how to use the Internet to find teenagers like himself.
You can run you fucking bastards but you can't hide from me! I'm one pissed off queer liberal that isn't going to take this shit.
P.S. what are veterans for truth doing playing the Sims 2?

a la Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Ralph Reed. They are all hypocrites. They fear what they don't understand instead of trying to follow the teachings of Jesus. The translators of the times were translating from Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, etc... and and to Latin then to English, French, German, Spanish, modern Eastern languages. Many words that were translated had subtle contextual meanings so overtime many words were translated wrongly. What was meant to be a translation of homosexual could have meant something slightly different. I think the best example of this was virgin which when translated from one of the original ancient languages meant young girl only, not virgin in the sense of not ever having sex. I could go on for a long time about this. I just wish I could actually speak to Jesus. I think that would so awesome and could clarify much. :-)

5. My gay (LESBIAN) sister-in-law was visiting... |
|
my huband & I here in Northern California, with her partner (loved-one).
We were picnicking on the beach. A couple walked by. SIL said, "I wish we could do that." I said, "Do what?" She said, "Walk hand-in-hand on the beach." I said, "Hey, girl, this is Northern Calif. You go right ahead! This is Gay Country! It's OK!" She said, "You don't understand. I can't. I am in a profession where I can be ruined." She is a Director of Special Education.
See, she is utterly devoted to helping children with special needs, but is threatened by losing her job for an act of gentle affection towards her mate.
I am fucking mad, too. MADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

I am a straight, long haired, gun toting, somewhat left of center American male. Years ago, I was one of those private contractors you all are now hearing so much about, and I will not apologize for that. Suffice to say I hung my ass out over the edge for my country and the money, tho good, was never enough to justify the risk or personal costs. I had my reasons, and they were good ones from my perspective.
All of which is a preamble to this: I did not go through all that so that gay people could continue to be persecuted, bullied, and denied basic human rights, such as the right to express affection for the one you love. I did not go through that so that black people could be systematically denied the right to vote. I did not go through that so this country could march backward towards some tin plated tyrant's definition of freedom.
No matter what, I'm not running. And I'm not backing down. The righteous fight is hardly over ... just begun in the minds of some. No matter who wins the Presidency, the struggle against tyranny, the fight for social and economic justice, is just beginning.
I'm really pissed off right now, and I tend to either hit things or give wings to my verbosity when pissed ... so I apologize for my wordiness.

12. Sounds to me like you are the one on the front lines |
|
on this issue.
Some of the bravest people I ever knew never came near a battlefield. They just dared to live their true lives, express their true being.
Guys like me, and I think I can include marine_raptor in this, think that is what freedom is all about. We believe it is worth defending, and we've been willing to bleed for that. And you defend it every time you refuse to bow down, each time you refuse to live a life that is not true.
Here's to ya, mates.

Lots of brave men and women gave an awful lot to get us the freedoms we hold dear. The "oath of service" is to the Constitution, not any one man or group of men. It calls us to defend that document and concept from all enemies both foreign and domestic.
Some folks fight on the front lines and those that do, raise their right hand and swear the oath. Other folks fight on the "streets" and those that do so may not actually swear the oath in the same way. But to both groups that "old piece of parchment" and the ideas it contains is what burn in both groups hearts.
A toast to all who fight. :toast:
