IF YOU ARE IN A SINCLAIR NETWORK AREA REPORT ALL ADVERTISERS...
I know it's asking a lot to WATCH Sinclair, but the knowledge is our power.

Report here or in a separate topic on any advertisers you see on these stations.

When an advertiser is identified, we can target them for special attention.

Advertisers who ignore the request to not support this dishonest partisan electioneering entity will be added to the "fridge list" for a lifetime ban.

And WYZZ TV (scroll down) has invited our special attention. Let's not dissappoint. Anyone get FOX 43 in Peoria, IL?
It would be especially interesting to know who advertises on that station.

I have my boycott list. Calls have been made, and are continuing to be made, to all advertisers informing them of my position.

Dudes, you should stand up to Sinclair, because otherwise you'll just take them down with you. Have you seen their stock price today?

6. Hi boys and girls!
Wanted to sign in and let you know that I too am contacting advertisers. It boils down to, if they support Sinclair stations with their advertising dollars (which is their decision to make), I choose not to support them through the purchase of their products and services with my dollars! I'm also telling everyone I know and meet encouraging them to do the same. Simple as that! :)

So get on your walking shoes...your cold call prospecting is going to be even harder than it already is!

7. Not only will I boycott advertisers who currently have accounts
with Sinclair..I plan to boycott any advertiser who EVER advertises with Sinclair in the future. My dying words will be, "remember to never buy from people that support Sinclair" and I'm thinking I'll have that written on my tombstone as well. I'll also make certain that anybody that knows me knows I boycott anything associated with Sinclair!!

8. That's harsh. I like it!
This is so much bigger and more energized than anything I've seen before. Your sentiments explain why.

What they're doing is fundamentally wrong. They're free to do it...apparently. And we're free to focus our market forces of destruction on them!

10. From Mr. Scalisse at WYZZ
"We don't work for Sinclair, and the station has no say so in Programming. If you were so smart, you would understand this. You have a remote control or dial, turn it. So get a life."

I didn't bother responding. Why bother answering a lie.
Everyone has a choice in what they do.

Sinclair.

12. I have called almost all of the national advertisers on the list that
affect me. I don't live in a Sinclair broadcast area but I have told them that the fact that any of their advertising dollars go to support Sinclair, even one-off, regretfully means that I and those I know will be boycotting their products. I have a huge number of relatives in one Sinclair market so I have called the local advertisers there to let them know my position and that I have contacted my relatives about Sinclair's unethical actions. It's interesting because in most cases the people answering the telephone at the customer service end have agreed with me and have been appalled at Sinclair's antics. One national advertising manager told me this is why she is against media consolidation.

13. The pain hits hard next week
I'm taking the week off just to contact every Sinclair advertiser and get the vote out for Kerry.

This isn't a temporary thing, either. Sinclair has abused their position of power one too many times, and we will only increase the pressure until the current management is ousted. You could have been honest and fair and run both the smear documentary and Going Upriver, but you're too dishonest for that. So you must go.

For ad sales workers at Sinclair stations, I'd advise you to take your vacation time now and start looking for a new job. Either that, or get your station to refuse to participate in this democracy-wrecking sham.

Sorry if the boycott hurts you, but your company is hurting democracy more. Sometimes you've gotta take a stand.

17. Great story found on DU's main Sinclair page.....
From: http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/news/local/041015wgme.shtml

By RAY ROUTHIER, Portland Press Herald Writer

WGME's plan to air a documentary critical of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry prompted three Maine companies Thursday to pull their advertising from the Portland TV station.

Hannaford supermarkets, the Lee Auto Malls, and the law offices of Joe Bornstein withdrew their advertising indefinitely from WGME (Channel 13) over its plans to air "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal" on Oct. 23.

When will Sinclair realize the mistake of illegal electioneering?
If they don't, then the station managers better. Is head office partisan ideology worth the future of your station?
