The nightline presentation included several Vietnamese witnesses who were there and who attested to the fact that there was considerable exchange of gunfire. This reflects the official government record and proves that Lt Kerry earned his medal under fire.

That is something that neither AWOL Bush nor draft dodger Cheney could boast of.

As a long-time Nightline fan who was bitterly disappointed by a couple of shows in the past month or so, I can't tell you happy I was with the program tonight.

Would never have watched it had my interest not been piqued by a post on DU. I am so glad I did.
