Shrubco can get press in the following ways:
-They can announce policy initiatives, that, even if transparently bogus like Mission to Mars, generate news and makes it look like they are doing something that they can point to.
-They can announce a "major policy speech" that then turns out to be primarily or completely stump speech/Kerry bashing, like they just did recently.
-They can create ACTUAL events through their control of the military and other agencies; offensives in Iraq, Osama on ice, other events real and fake.
-They can announce terra alerts.
-They can do the normal campaign stump speeches.
-They can create events and news through surrogates such as the Swifties or Sinclair.

What can the Kerry/Edwards campaign do to seize any initiative or counter this ability of shrubco?

-Make speeches on the stump on the campaign trail like normally.
-Ground game: canvassing etc.
-Advertise on TV

What are the strengths the challengers can call upon in these final weeks?
