It's great that Nightline exposed all this but what I want to know is how much press it's going to get now???? This should be plastered all over the place!!!! The Swift Boat Liars need to be CRUSHED now! The Kerry campaign needs to talk about this non-stop for the next week!

i didn't think the story was necessarily supportive of Kerry. I thought it was a veiled attempt to smear him by appearing to be concerned. Sorry, I've been Roved and am a perpetual cynic with the media these days.

for which Kerry won the Silver Star back up Kerry's side of the story. As Koppel said, the Vietnamese are the only ones who would have nothing to gain by lying; Kerry is unknown to them.

Yes, it was definitely supportive of Kerry. O'Neill was made to look like the sleezy liar he is.

My hope is that O'Neill will raise a big stink about being proven wrong & Koppel will be forced to protect his credibility by creating a big media blitz with this story. Maybe Koppel will get rid of that creep for good.

He's hounded Kerry for over 30 years, changing the name of his group continuously to suit the political climate. The Nightline story is an opportunity to make this creep slither back into his hole for good. Koppel has done an effective story in proving O'Neill's accounts are politically motivated. I hope Koppel runs with the story to every media organization.

Like the post above, you must not live in a battleground state where we have to see these swift boat ads constantly! They are relentless! If their is a full court press on all the major News channels that shows the swift boat vets are dishonest then it cant help but help Kerry and also make Bush look like he has been involved with more dirty tricks that were proven false. Kerry already has momentum and as the swift boat vets crumble so does one of Bush's effective smears further giving Kerry more momentum!
