Has anyone seen this level of distrust for the opposing party? |

Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 06:59 AM by fujiyama
Here we live in a time, where two weeks before an election and the parties are starting to accuse each other of fraud. It boggles my mind. I don't remember this level of anger and distrust over the other party. I know that when I used to think of election fraud, various South American and Asian countries would come to mind ...the word banana republic would come to mind.
Of course our illusions were shattered after the last "election", but this time seems to be much worse.
ANd I too will say I share that distrust of the opposing party.

2. The Republicans have proven that they'll steal elections . . . |
|
so they've gotta get their base afraid of us to disguise that. Just like they keep going after Kerry's record to disguise their own guy's.

3. I'm still willing to see this |
|
as more of an invisible agenda of a corrupt group operating within the confines of the Reps.
I may be naive, but i'm still of the opinion that most of them are just sheep in this. We got our wake up call in 2000, I'm optimistic that they are getting theirs now.

5. agreed. I think the rank and file republicans are just now seeing |
|
the rove behind the curtain. It takes them a bit longer, though, to go from seeing the corruption to understanding it and realizing it is in their name. The only way to really drive the point home is to get out the vote and defeat shrub. Then they'll start attacking each other and analyzing what went wrong, which will highlight that low down repugnant tactics don't work.
If, however, bush wins, they will never abandon the tactics, thinking them effective.
Another good reason why we have to prevent his reelection, because if we don't, we'll have an even more virulent strain republicus arroganticus to deal with.

What is the deal with this Colorado allegation...Matt Drudge isn't my favorite guy, but he has proven to be the "scoop king" too many times to ignore...
What the document says
A page from the Democrats' "Colorado Election Day Manual: A detailed guide to voting in Colorado" appeared on the Drudge Report.
• Chapter 2 says: "If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a pre-emptive strike."
• Operatives are directed to issue a news release "reviewing Republican tactics used in your area or state."
• They should also quote "party/minority/ civil rights leadership as denouncing tactics that discourage people from voting."

4. we all know repukes accuse others of their own crimes, therefore... |
|
when they started saying that dems were going to commit voter fraud a couple weeks ago, it meant they were going to do it themselves.
Anything they accuse dems of like this is a smokescreen to minimize their own evil deeds by making it difficult for dems to make accurate accusations without appearing petty.
passive aggressive bullhockey. Rovian, for sure.
