There are 2 headlines at Salon.com about how angry Cheny is.

He is an angry, angry man. We get it. Let's move on.

2. Phony indignation. They couldn't argue the points of the debate
so this is what they're left with. I can't help but wonder if this is the first time they've ever "defended" their daughter.

3. It doesn't matter what we think---
both ABC and NBC morning shows led with the story AGAIN this morning. I'm telling you that this could mean real trouble for us--the Repugs are trying to score on this and are using the talking point that K/E will say or do anything to get elected and now they're dragging in what Edwards said earlier this week about Christopher Reeve too. Yes--I know that B/C are lying their asses off and we know for a fact that Shrub lied about something far more important (the whole OBL thing) in the last debate, but the news isn't focused on that-they're completly focusing on this Cheney shit. I'm so mad right now I can't see straight. Media whores.

I know this is awful, but at this point
I don't really give a shit. If the American public can be led around by its nose this much, then we'll get the government we deserve.

I've had it. Today I get an email about how John Kerry looks like Guy Smiley. We have real problems in this country and if this is what people care about, then fuck it.

Why should I care now? I could give a shit about Crashcart and Families' feelings after what they've done to this country.

9. I'm a parent and
I think the Cheneys are the worst kind of parents. They initially hid her from view, then pushed her to the front when Cheney needed to show his compassionate side vis-a-vis gay marriage amendment, and now use her as a political tool. Disgusting people!

12. When is he NOT angry?
And Lynne Cheney can spare us the indignation. She's obviously ashamed that her daughter is gay, but the Cheney's sure are willing to use her sexuality to boost themselves on the campaign trail, aren't they? The Republican 'righteous indignation' over Kerry's use of the word 'Lesbian' in regards to Mary Cheney is a sham. All these small-minded bigots who are crying foul need to get the fuck over themselves.

14. The reason why there are more headllines about this
is because people keep talking about it.

Talk about bush*'s OBL quote that he doesn't think about OBL.

Talk about bush*'s not answering the question about Roe v Wade

Talk about bush*'s inability to talk about health care, minimum wage, etc

Talk about bush*'s comment about the media (ie "Oh, never mind")

15. Exactly. Kerry won all 3 debates hands down.
This is just their way of trying to draw attention away from that fact.

16. yep.
from now on, I think to address the issue in one soundbyte and then move to a different subject is definately the best policy.

That's how you change the subject and put the other side on the defensive.

17. Aw, the war criminal got his feelings hurt
and he's angry. Can you imagine a day in this reptilian's life that he's not angry? I agree with another post. Fuck (or Cheney) all these morons. This is another created distraction that will keep the issues from being discussed once again. It's happening almost every other day now.

Kerry used the word "nuisance". They took it and ran with it even though an idiot could understand the idea behind the phrase when heard in context. Then he speaks the truth (not in an insulting way)and suddenly he's a bad, bad man. This is how it will be for the next 18 days. It is disinformation which is their forte and it will be brutal. Just keep fighting.

20. Keyes remarks didn't phase Cheneys
Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 08:20 AM by boyblue2005
When Alan Keyes lambasted Mary Cheney with extremely homophobic remarks, the Cheneys didn't have a word to say. Nor did the RNC.
Hypocrisy thy name is Cheney.

By serving as her father's campaign manager and advancing his homophobic agenda, Mary Cheney has made herself fair game. Fire away I say.
