Somebody needs to write a succinct summary of the issue, citing relevant things like the Nightline expose, complete with links for those who want to follow the story further. However, the SUCCINCT summary should be free-standing and not depend on the links for its punch.

Then everybody sends this thing out to every contact they know. Blast it to the papers & local stations, but more importantly, blast it out through your email to ordinary people. See if we can spread it like a mind-virus (I'm getting sick of the "meme" meme, which is losing all specificity of meaning due to overuse and inaccurate application).
