Several Democratic and left-leaning groups sprung up this year to try to keep Mr. Nader off the ballot in the swing states, fearing he could siphon votes from Mr. Kerry as he did from Al Gore in 2000. In Florida that year, Mr. Nader won 1.6 percent of the vote. That accounted for 97,488 votes, and Mr. Bush beat Mr. Gore there by 537.

even a handful of votes for him and not JK COULD make a difference. I cannot subscribe to the 'head in the sand' mentality and think everything is peachy keen. We have to work like HELL and like we'er 20 points behind. Not sit back and say it's in the bag. As someone posted here, JK won all debates, but it's a YAWN from the media. If Smirk won all JK would be "toast", "finished", "all over", etc. And the ONLY poll MSNBC is citing today is the very one JK is a few points back on.

Im sorry, Im not fighting with YOU, but I just cannot la de da through this, thinking it's all gonna work out fine. Im working like we're 20 points behind, because you never ever can underestimate Rove and after 2000, I couldnt POSSIBLY take the Nader Factor for granted.

7. Of COURSE!!!! Sorry, didnt feel the obvious

needed to be posted. But I try and look at every angle possible. Of course, you are completely 110% correct on BushCo.

But there are other factors *I* feel that need to be watched. Does this sound naive? Maybe. But to just keep saying Nader is stupid, out of touch, a spolier, and nothing more, I just cant accept after 2000. I will never ever again think anything is too far out, not a problem, or cannot have any effect. Probably obsessive behavior, at the very least, but Im trying to keep any possible "problem" on the radar.
