Question about absentee ballots... |
|
This is way out of left field, on a Friday afternoon.
If a voter uses an absentee ballot to vote early, but subsequently dies before Nov. 2, does their vote still get counted?
I'm assuming it does, just because of the logistics that would be involved in filtering. But the situation does turn the joke about dead people voting into reality, no?

1. It counts towards Nader, he's half dead anyway and his ideas are dead. |

3. A question to ask yourself |
|
is, how is the election commission going to know which specific ballot belongs to the dead voter? Or, if they don't open envelopes containing mailed-in ballots until election day, are they really going to bother to check out all the return addresses against obituaries?
